Yeah, if you're doing a search, type in the full name in inverted commas "n-acetyl-cysteine" and put a medical condition in front of that. I know it has applications in acetaminophen poisoning, diabetes, PCOS, cancer, COPD, colon polyp prevention, chemotherapy adjunct to protect healthy cells from the chemo, HIV and hep C, metal and chemical toxicity, parkinsons, alzheimer's, common flu and colds, and probably many more - just about any disease which involves oxidative stress.

Also, from NAC your body can make glutathione which is important for our bodies to stay well - every time you get the flu, for example, your glutathione levels are depleted. I understand that you can't top up your glutathione levels by taking glutathione, your body has to make it from cysteine, it's like a building block and NAC is a more stable form of cysteine. I had known that NAC was strongly anti-viral and a chelator of heavy metals and toxins, but recently read here on curezone, in the parasite cleanse section, that cysteine is a anti-parasitic as well.
