So sowwy, VitaMix does not equal "juicer/juice"...Re: juicer opinion & tip
...unless the produce is macerated and then the juice fully pressed from the pulp (and generally - if not done with care, macerating produce in the VitaMix virtually always degrades the enzymes due to high rpms/heat). ::::sigh:::
"Fruit/veggie slush" (with pulp) is not juice, it's smooshed produce...and the body has to spend almost as much time processing out the goodies as it does from properly chewed produce...of course a FEW of the goodies became true juice in the maceration process - but it doesn't come close to rivaling true juice :(
Required reading for everyone on the IP or juicing:

(everybody, be SURE to check out the Norwalk data/info...which works very similar to a Champion, and then hydraulically presses the pulp. Don't we all wish we had the money for one of those beauties - ultra high yield and ULTRA high nutrition. At one time, Gerson would not allow patients on his program without a Norwalk that might still be the case - but it doesn't look that way).
True juice (zero pulp) is like a nutritional IV/transfusion - all the vitamins/minerals/enzymes are virtually 'void of the need' for the complex & energy-sucking process of digestion. (YAY!)
Sure, "chewing the produce" in the Vitamix generally results in a more 'well chewed' piece of produce that what we do in our mouth (SHAME on us for 'wolfing our food'!) BUT that is NO substitution for chewing the produce thoroughly, hence mixing the goodies AND the pulp with the myriad of digestive enzymes in the saliva that assist in breaking down the pulp and easing/complementing the process of digestion.
Remember, Dr. Christopher! "Drink your solids & chew your juices" :) He claimed that any diabetic/hypoglycemic that would properly 'chew their juice' (swish it around in their mouth several times before swallowing it), would mix so many digestive enzymes into the 'juice sugars' and pre-digest them...that not one diabetic/hypoglycemic patient that did that, EVER had a substantial fluctuation in blood
Sugar - no matter how 'sugar laden' the fruit.
When juice fasting on the IP, the only time "smooshed produce" is allowed, is in a Superfood smoothie (one piece of fruit per smoothie) OR as a "treat" (freeze bananas and other produce, run it through the juicer for an INCREDIBLE "ice cream" treat). But that's a "reward treat" (perhaps a few 'sherbet cups' weekly, kind of thing).
Bottom line: the idea is to let the JUICER do the work of extracting all the pure nutritional goodies from the produce...so that our bodies do NOT have to do that work - hence giving our bodies amazing amounts of energy (that it would normally have to expend "juicing" out the goodies)...and then our bodies can use THAT energy AND the "free goodies" to devote to the tasking of healing what ails us.
A good way to look at it? (to be able to 'stay strong' on the juice fast)....every time we 'eat' instead of juice, we're willingly and knowingly depriving our body of the energy and ultra high-grade fuel it needs to be able to heal what it is we're asking/wanting it to heal.
Juice ON!
