Re: Bio-identical hormones? Another quick udate

I hope these posts are helping someone, or will. This type of HTR is fairly new and not a lot of good info out there from a ‘day-one’ journal perspective.

The dreams have slow down a bit. Now I’m aware that I may have dreamed but don’t really remember what they were about. This is neither good, nor bad. They didn’t inhibit my rest, they were just curious to someone who basically rarely if ever dreams.

Another thing, I was told to start my hormones when I got them or if I wanted, I could wait until the first day of the month for calendar convenience. You know…days 1-20 on the progesterone/testosterone mix and then days 21-30 on just the testosterone at which time I should cycle. I went ahead and started when I got the Rx. Having irregular cycles previous to the HTR and reading what my body was doing (sore breast, etc) I figured I was about a week away from starting my next period. And indeed a week later I did start even though I was taking my prog/test mix. I called the Dr about this and was told it would sometimes take a month to rewire my system to the cycle I had placed it on. I don’t know yet if I will cycle again in two days when I start taking the HTR that’s testosterone only for 10 days. But I’ll be sure to let you know.

Back to the sore breasts, I was told that once my hormones are balanced the pre-menstrual symptoms (i.e. sore breasts, etc) will be a thing of the past.

Also, the period I had was very mild compared to the others in the past. No severe cramps or heavy bleeding and clotting; and I didn’t have the mood swings.
