Re: Bio-identical hormones?
When I said, “I don’t want my body to stay in the heighten state of Estrogen which is where a body w/o a period stays, is in an induced state of pregnancy.” I didn’t state what I wanted to say correctly. In pregnancy, estrogen should be the highest hormone and thereby over rides the other hormones. What they are trying to achieve for me is not to lower my estrogen but to bring the other hormones levels up (progesterone and testosterone) to give balance.
Angie is the consultant where I get my Rx from. The doctor she works for requires blood tests and she goes over the tests with you on the phone. Then her recommendations are given to the doctor to look over along with the blood tests and if he feels like adjustments need to be made then they are made. They are a compounding pharmacy so they can make your Rx for you needs right there and send them out, usually the same day. If you need an Rx for the blood work they will do that for you, too. Here in Florida, we have a lab that has a doctor on staff and basically will just sign off on blood tests you are interesting in having performed. I’ve had a couple of different kinds of panels done and he’s always just signed off on them. So, those were the tests I sent in for my consultation and resulting scripts.
I was placed in contact with these group through the people my husband gets his testosterone and HGH (we’re both on HGH). If you will e-mail me a rivkarut2004@yahoo.com, I will be happy to give you the phone number. But don’t want to post it, as I’m sure you understand.
Another thing, they were able to make a transdermal cream for me or the sublingual drops. I chose the drops. They also told me about a doctor here in Florida who is kind of far away (if I wanted to travel) who does the pellet therapy and you only need to see him about three times a year with these treatment. I would think this type of treatment would give you peaks and valley as you near the end of the cycle. To me a daily dose was a better method to keep my levels more stable.
