Re: Bruised Ego at Work

I read an interesting article recently that said during these bad economic times, people who have jobs are afraid to vent about it because they hear from other people things like, "don't complain, at least you have a job!" The article went on to say despite that, people still need to vent. That's why forums like this are great for that purpose.

Personally, I can understand how it feels to be treated poorly in a work situation---been there done that! A lot of what happened to you does seem underhanded. If the parking situation and your workload were expected to change when your co-worker came back from leave, then all that should have been explained to you. You are troubled by that, and rightly so. Honestly, I think that poor communication seems to be a workplace problem just about everywhere!

I think you're handling things well by going with the flow. It's not the perfect solution but given the current state of the economy, it will do.

In the meantime, just keep doing your job well. When the economy improves, then you can look around for a better situation, if you like.
