This article states that hemp is the only species of plant where the male plant looks different than the female plant. The article states that one has to look at the DNA to tell a male plant apart from a female plant. This is not true.
There are many species of plant that have male and female plants. They are called dioecious plants. There are tons of dioecious plants out there, holly is one example. Anybody who has ever looked at a plant field guide would know this.
One just has to look at the flowers to tell them apart.
An error of this size kind of makes me question the rest of the article. I am a big proponent of hemp, but we also need to temper the hype and the talk of alien plants.
