Been answered, and Corinthian is right. If you ever grew grapes then you would have known that. Or if you had more than 2 active brain cells then you would have known that. The big plump grapes you get in the stores are treated with a growth hormone called gibberelic acid, which causes them to enlarge. It is also used to grow bananas as the hormone induces early flowering and thus earlier fruit production. Tweet
