--answer--Meyers Lemon trees---

Hi refreshed,

Your question: Oh wonderful, a perfect spot is in mind. May have to go out of state to get a tree but as long as I can possibly grow one it will be worth it.

I will have to research and see how big they get and how close to the house I can get.

I have plenty of limestone around here, do you happen to have the link of how to bake it for use.

Thanks ML.

Answer: The Meyes Lemon trees grown around here I have not seen any of them over 6 feet tall yet?

Just put your limestone rocks around the tree and spread Bone meal around and keep this mulched !

If you have a fire outside you just throw the rocks into the fire and when they have heated up enough one may easily break them up with a hammer etc. One may pour Cold water over the Hot rocks to cause them to break easier?

The Bone meal is needed to enable the tree to produce enough Natural Sugars so it will not freeze and also be of best Quality !

I presently have about 24 pots that I have planted seeds of Meyers lemons that my wife got from a lady friend who has trees.

I want to get my own trees with tap roots planted and this is the only way to do it by planting our own seed.

The trees gotten from a nursery generally may have no tap root because of being cut off?

With a tap root the tree is much more hardy and can produce better with less Insect damage problems.

Smile Tis your choice.
