--Meyers Lemon trees---
Hi Refreshed,
Your comment: Unless a miracle occurs in my lifetime and Truth comes to the world, by what I can tell of the foods I test, growing my own is the only option.
After feeling like I won the lottery for finding a bag of lemons with a higher than normal rating, I went out and bought a couple more bags. They were not the same. Matter of fact they were the worse brix lemons I had ever bought. There was no fresh smell and the juice made the drink taste aweful. One of them had a brown center...I remembered what you said about that. In the trash 2 bags of lemons went.
I can't grow lemon trees here and I'm having trouble finding a mini lemon tree ...they won't ship them to my state. I know I can fall back on ACV but I just do better on lemons.
Answer: You should be able to grow the meyers lemon tree in your area with a little winter protection?
Folks in my area are now growing them in their yards the last several years !
If you plant them to the east side of your house to use the house for winter protection from cold winds and maybe cover them in the coldest weather they may grow and produce?
I have a friend who put up a little tent around some of his citrus trees next to his house and in cold weather would put a Heat lamp inside to keep the frost out and he gets Oranges every year !
The Meyers Lemon tree is smaller than his Orange tree .
So it can be done !
Smile Tis your choice.
