Hi Guys

DQ,

My experience rings true with this post on water by the well versed Chrisb. I used to drink my 96 ounces of water and thensome. Since I'm very prone to UTI's, I often need to drink more to flush my system. Depending on what I eat, sometimes my body screams for more water.

As you may read, I recently decided to make a strict change to a plant based diet as recommended by Dr. Fuhrman. My body stopped wanting and accepting the water: my water intake went down to about 1/3 it's previous level. Drinking more would have really felt like forcing the issue. I also notice my body being sensitive to the dryness of foods like bread and nuts when I do eat them. One day when I overdid the nuts & starches, the next 1/2 day my body wanted a lot more water.

With my experiences, it makes perfect sense why people on SAD need tons of water to keep digestion moving and other things working well, but this is not our body's preferred intake of water. It's a diet-imposed necessity.
