Re: Understanding
Refreshed, while I appreciate your response, I still just don't agree. Moreless does not have the weight of saving people on his shoulders, or the weight of deciding who is not going to be saved. If he thinks he does, I feel for him, because he is very deceived if that is the case. So, why does he have to delve into everyone's past when they come on here to decide what his response is going to be? Why couldn't Moreless have answered that guy's post with a gentle leading of what he believes is the right direction, and leave all the rebuking out, and just let God be God to do the work He wants to do in this man's life. I still say so many of you jump in to make excuses for Moreless's harshness saying this and that reason as to why he must do this. It's crazy! Refreshed, you don't treat people this way. I have read many of your responses to people. Other's don't do this. I see people all the time, after Moreless has wrote his harsh message, come in after Moreless to give the person hope and genty lead them in what they believe is the the right direction. Who cares what happens after that? Isn't all that up to God? What if every preacher delved into people's past when a new person came into the church and decided they didn't think they were ready to hear the message and so rebuked them and spoke harshly to them. No, preachers keep preaching the gospel, praying for God to let those that can hear, hear. What if that guy desperate in his suffering could have gotten some words of an encourgement from Moreless instead of a rebuke? Regardless of his past actions or future actions, wouldn't that still be much better? We are drawn to Christ because of His love, not his rebuking. How many people leave here because of Moreless's harshness. Who knows? And a lot of you automatically think, well they just weren't ready for the truth, so they left. What if they were ready for the truth but get slammed by Moreless and decide they better go somewhere else. I'm sorry, but these ideas are taught other places too. And to be totally honest, I believe there are other protocols that bring people healing besides this one. I went to a church one time where I was treated awful. You know what, I was hurt bad, but I left and went to another church, where I received a loving embrace and was able to heal. The truth is not located in just one church, or just one group on curezone. Don't get locked into that box, it's a dangerous one. The truth is in Christ and Christ alone, and all healing comes from him, regardless of how it's accomplished. If Moreless wants to keep doing what he's doing, which often hurts people, and many of you want to keep defending him, then so be it. But it saddens me, and the consequences will still come, just as Moreless says. I pray for that guy who posted today. Regardless of whatever the situation, he is still suffering a lot. I just wish he could have gotten a kinder response from Moreless today. But that didn't happen.
