BTW, I do give Iodine and selenium to my horse and now to my dogs for the same reasons that I gave above, the soil here lacking in Iodine and selenium and many other minerals.

Spoke with my partner this morning and showed him this thread, he had a good laugh as well. He said he would be quite happy with me dosing his food as long as he doesn't see or taste it, he is happy to take the selenium because its a tablet and doesn't have a taste and its easy just to down one in the morning. I asked him how much he wanted to have in his food, drinks or whatever, so that he doesn't feel as if its being done against his will, he found this quite amusing and made the point as trapper does, that we get dosed with all sorts of poisons in our environment without our knowledge or consent, and with no intention of increasing our health.
