Re: I am NOT fasting anymore until..
"It is a battle and a struggle and God makes me fight hard for some things."
Rainy,
This is actually one of my problems that I have to keep reminding myself isn't true. God doesn't make you fight for anything, He simply asks us to LET GO and give Him ALL of our troubles so that He can deal with them for us. I have found from experience that the more I look to Jesus instead of focusing on my problems, the more my problems slowly fade away.
(Underlines added by me.)
John 15:5 (Jesus speaking)
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit;
apart from me you can do nothing."
Matthew 19:26
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but
with God all things are possible."
Fasting, even for one day, is a helpful tool to allow yourself to focus completely on God, but it ultimately isn't the answer. It is only one of the many things that points to the Answer. Rainy, all of Christians struggle, but it isn't because God asks or wants us to, it is because of our own stubbornness in trying to work out our problems with our own strength. Once you are able to fully rest in Christ, all of the rest starts to fall into place. Oh if only we humans could just learn to let go! :)
I apologize if this post offends anyone, it is only directed to Rainy Day and any other Christian who may be encouraged by it.

P.S. I'm not interested in using EFT either, Rainy. I believe God should be turned to first and foremost for any problem, especially emotional, and not a practice that in my opinion isn't Biblical. I don't believe in so-called "energy meridians", but whatever reason EFT works for some people, I already have my cure-all, Jesus Christ.
