How long you can fast is determined by how much nutrition stores you have in your body, not how much fat you have. 38 days is a long time for anyone, especially if the diet beforehand wasn't healthy. You might get that far with no problem, but it's good to be prepared to end it sooner in case you need to. I've read of a case where a fasting doctor told an obese patient to keep going even after hunger returned, because the patient still had fat on his body. He ended up starving to death. Our bodies are all different and it is best to go by what your body tells you. It is very important to refeed when hunger returns, and no one knows ahead of time when that will be.

I find nothing wrong with not wanting to weigh yourself, it's just numbers anyway. Best of luck with your fast! :)
