Thank you wickedlylu, I am so glad you said that. I now have a better picture too. And no one is going to judge you. Well I am not, and you are always welcome to PM me and discuss privately if you feel there is anything you can't say in the forum. I'll always try and help.
I have some friends who suffered from eating disorders both in real life and online. I too have purged, but only alcohol on weekends when drinking as a teenager. I can't comment on the real life ones for obvious reasons.
I know you must have been through a lot. I am glad for one that you are here, I know there are pro ana and pro mia websites out there which won't help, even though some people think they may.
Also I am now going to trust your judgement to a certain extent, I hope you have enough sense to stay within a safe range.
I see other posts here and I know people are suffering the same as you, but I am pleased that you have had the courage to say it, well done. It is a steep learning curve for me, and I hope others with ED experience can chip in. But here's what I think...
My advice to you is that food is your friend, not your enemy. I think Chrisb1 posted a thread a long while ago about vitamin supplements. maybe he will link to it. Some of this perhaps
I also think that raw food is very good for you, so when you do eat go for this.
I am a little worried that your feeling of getting bigger may be due to bloating, which in some ED cases could be caused by ascites, see
http://ph.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070609174413AA5R56u
but I am hoping it's not that
I mean if you really insist, fast for a short while longer. but then do raw food. I think 38 days is too long. Others her do juicing. Severin continued to lose the same weight as doing a fast when drinking a 10oz glass of juice a day.
I am hoping your BMI is somewhere between 20 and 30, if you have been binging it is probably quite high. But don't over compensate, relax. Please don't drop below 19.
Eventually, I guess you are going to have to tackle the things that provoked the eating disorder too. Again I know from good friends that these often come down to painful experiences that you may not want to talk about here. There are lots of places that offer free confidential phone advice. or you can make friends with like minded people here or on the
Water Fasting group on Facebook.
Now all, as wickedlylu asks, don't judge her, help her. And wickedlylu, please give us some feedback too, and tell us what you want.
Marks out of 10 so far? :)
