A thought...Did you eat anything with the gin? Such as take out? Anything a few hours before the gin?

I got food poisoning (a parasite) at a restuarant and I did't feel it (though tasted it), until my next meal, then I got sick. It was intense and lasted months.

And yes, I do think you can recover from this! I want to encourage you, as I was so sick once too.
