Re: Can I divorce my wife even if we live in two separate states?

I just did my own divorce.
I was separated for a number of years (12)
We had no assets to split
the children are over 21
we were married and lived in NYS the entire marriage (16 years)
I moved to Pennsylvania (eligible as resident there after 6 months), he lives and is from Canada
I got a Pennsylvania divorce.
I paid $30.00 to consult with a lawyer for 30 minutes and used the local law library.
Are you a resident of the state where you are now living?
Do you have her address?
Find out what count on the divorce complaint you two would be eligible for,
For me it was because we had been separated for over one year.
It took about 3 months from start to finish, but it could be shorter or longer depending on specifics, mine could have been a couple of weeks shorter but I wasn't sure about a certain step.
