Oh, okay, now I understand more about the question you're asking because I can put it in context. All we understand is that the first instance of time/existance is Genesis 1:1. It's like you said,..."There is no BEFORE". No PRE-beginning, no pre-"Alpha".

What you're asking is simply an IMPOSSIBILITY (philosophically and otherwise).

If you had asked about the beginning of a bicycle chain, the first LINK is the BEGINNING ("Alpha"). In other words, the CONTEXT determines what the "beginning" is. So, when you ask what is the beginning of creation ("creation" is the CONTEXT), the only answer can be "the creator". "PRE" is simply not possible ("PRE existence" is a contradiction in terms).

It is "subjective" truth that has a bias (objective truth is true reality, but SUBJECTive truth is the emotional and convenient 'version' of what is true). For instance, if you wish to believe that "submit" is what a loving creator would want, you will say that you "gain peace" by doing it (in order to justify feeling obligated to "submit", you will be SUBJECTIVE and rationalize). People don't always use subjective truth so innocently as to "find meaning", more often they are sinister and use it to find EXCUSES.

The creator does not give us ultimatums or threats. My dad never gave me ultimatums (unless I INSISTED on repeatedly being destructive/evil and rebellious). The prodigal son's dad didn't give his son ultimatums (expect his son to "submit"). The prodigal son learned the error of his way, "repented" by coming back home and TRUSTING his dad to be loving kind. The dad reacted the same as God would (there was no "submit" at all), just LOVE.
