Dealing with feelings of aloneness

Hi, again, I saw your post and can identify with your feelings of aloneness in doing all this. I can also tell you that there is a LOT of support here from people who have gone before you, conquered the drugs and conquered a very bad liver situation. I am still working on getting my pancreas back in line, too, as well as my liver. What you are doing is a VERY difficult thing. It is going to take a lot of courage, but what I alsways told myself was, "this, too, shall pass", Not very easy when you are going thru it, tho. Cancer is gone when the bugs are gone and the liver and colon is back on line. Doc has said the cancer is gone in 6 months time into this program. Sadness comes when you tell your friends and family they don't have to be sick or die, and they just can't begin to understand what you are talking about. I have found that they make their own choices, and we have to let them do it. I chose to save my own life. You are going in the right direction. Fear comes from looking far ahead of you and becoming discouraged. I have been there on the drugs. Please know that we are many of us who are following your progress. Know that we will be here for you as best we can and that you WILL make it, if you just do the "getting mentally tough" thing and stay that way. STAY MENTALLY TOUGH! I kept telling myself I WOULD beat the drugs, no matter what. When I started this program, I knew that I had no choice--it was do it or die. That was my "innate" feeling. I took it one day at a time, worked the details of the program, stayed on here reading all the back posts getting a lot of good information and keeping myself focused. I knew there would be a lot of people who would help me thru this. I wasn't wrong! I found out keeping myself focused on something I enjoyed or was educationsl would take my mind off what I was doing some of the time, and was very essential in keeping me on the right track. The same can and will happen to you if you keep up with that "mentally tough" thing you gotta do all the time to get thru this and, try to stay focused. Keep us posted!
