Re: ocd! help!

3376,

Perhaps your son could get a little relief from concern from a bath, or footbath in in H. crystal mineral salts.

Here is where I got the idea...

And here is the supplier of the mineral salts that happened to be in my local health food store...

http://www.heartfeltliving.com

Someone suggested using them in a footbath, for 'grounding'. I used, say, 1/2 a cup in an average sized foothbath, on two consecutive evenings, and had two unexpected results...the edema on the tops of my feet reduced dramatically...and all anxiety vanished, gone!

Finally, I got up the inclination to take the bath. I had stopped taking tub baths of any kind three years ago because of my difficulty in getting out of the tub. I had taken only showers.

On this occasion I took a shower first, washing with very little soap and a bit of organic shampoo.

Then I drew a lukewarm tubful, and poured in a full box of the 'table salt' grind...1 kg (2.2 lbs.).

I climbed in, sinking even my head and face and keeping myself wet all over with a cloth, for at least 1/2 an hour.

Yes, getting out was quite funny, but I was determined to make it. I called dh to make sure I didn't topple over.

At first I didn't feel any 'different' but after a bit I felt I had taken off a tight skin, I felt smaller, cleaner...lighter, and very smooth. I felt 10 or 20 years younger...as calm and 'normal' as I felt in days gone by. Lovely.

When dh had his mineral salts bath, he melted his boxful in a bucket of hot water first, then poured it into his lukewarm tubful.

He didn't seem to remark on much difference, except that it was a very nice bath, but I watched him and saw that he was at his best...far calmer and less irritated than some days. And it lasts.

He also noticed that he was as smooth and somehow 'cool' as I was.

I also feel that the prominent veins on my arms seem reduced, as though my skin has thickened, but that might be just my imagination.

Apparently subsequent baths may need only three or four large handfuls. I feel I'd like to do them regularly. Then there is the sole (pronounced so-lay).

By chance, we have a couple of larger rocks in our Brita filter.

Apparently the mineral salts are sterilizing...which is an interesting thought.

I feel they contain all the minerals we need, balanced by plants, even 250,000,000 years ago...the building blocks of life, and that our skins are able to assimilate all we need, and to reduce all that is excessive.

If I could, I'd see that everyone in the world had a swim in an ancient ocean like this, at least weekly.

It's great for the garden, too, they say...what we hope our food plants contain.

My best,

Fledgling

P.S. I feel better and better eating a little more alkalizing foods, and a little less acidifying foods.

Also, young people seem to do better starting with something they enjoy, something they do well, and building on that, on their own.

I used to tell my son when he was small, and in a pout..."Don't think about a blue cow, jumping up and down in a meadow full of daisies."

Of course, it is impossible NOT to think of something you are reminded about.

I told him he'd lose his mad. I think he got to hate that damned cow!

Movement is good, even bouncing on ones toes. But it's more fun if a couple of people or more share a task, like cleaning out the garage or basement, or a box or two at a time. Running around the outside of the house, or around the block or park, is good. I love metal detecting on the beach, gentle swinging movements, at dawn, or 6 a.m. There are hundreds of metal detectors gathering dust in peoples' hall closets. Choose a simple one...you'll only feel silly for 5 minutes, I promise.

With you.
