You are now saying that ClO2 is a cation.
It is not an ion at all and is not positively charged
Also sodium chlorite becomes chlorine dioxide by acidification and chlorine dioxide then becomes chlorite when it gains an electron or chloride when it gains 5 electrons (ie oxidizes something) not the other way around
Just thought I'd correct you
