ayenne Pepper Cures
Updated: 06/13/2008
Cayenne Pepper is an herb made from the dried pods of chili peppers. Besides being a very popular spice in cooking, cayenne has also been used medicinally for thousands of years. High in Vitamins A, C, B complex, calcium and potassium, cayenne is a wonderful healing aid for the digestive system since it acts as a catalyst and increases the effectiveness of other foods and herbs when used with them. It is also very healing for the heart and circulatory system. Studies have shown that Cayenne can rebuild the tissue in the stomach and the peristaltic action in the intestines.
Cayenne is traditionally used by herbalists to cure stomach aches, cramping, gas, varicose veins, allergies, and constipation. One of the most amazing healing properties of cayenne is that it has been used successfully time and time again to relieve heart attacks:
From the healing text of Dr. Christopher:
"In 35 years of practice, and working with the people and teaching, I have never on house calls lost one heart attack patient and the reason is, whenever I go in--if they are still breathing--I pour down them a cup of cayenne tea (a teaspoon of cayenne in a cup of hot water, and within minutes they are up and around). This is one of the fastest acting aids we could ever give for the heart, because it feeds that heart immediately. Most hearts are suffering from malnutrition because of processed food we are eating, but here it gets a good powerful dose of real food and it's something that has brought people in time after time. This is something that everyone should know how great it is, because a heart attack can come to your friends or loved ones any time. And even yourself. The warm tea is faster working than tablets, capsules, cold tea, because the warm tea opens up the cell structure--makes it expand and accept the cayenne that much faster, and it goes directly to the heart, through the artery system, and feeds it in powerful food."
CAYENNE WARNINGS
1 WARNING!
[WARNING!] 05/26/2008: Jasmine from Chicago, IL writes: "This is just a warning to all cayenne users. There are only a few categories of herbs, the most cautionary one is heated ones like ginger and cayenne. There are also bitter herbs and sweet herbs. Heated herbs can actually raise your body temperature a few points.
In cases of mild fever, this isn't dangerous, but if you have a high fever, please do not use hot spices in LARGE quantity. A little as a spice in your food is fine, but using it medicinally can involve much more than you would ever ingest normally.
Many remedies for chills, frostbite, hypothermia, and similar "cold" conditions use these heated herbs due to this reason. They warm you up.
Always monitor your body temperature and discontinue the cayenne if your temperature is turning into a high fever. Use your common sense. Heated herbs are sometimes used as fever breakers, just as some would cover their loved one in blankets to "break" their fever. But when a fever becomes too high, heat is a bad idea. There are other sweet and bitter herbal remedies for sore throats and the like that can work just as well. So please take caution in using heated herbs with fevers.
As with any herbal use, there are always precautions we must take to ensure our safety. This is one of those measures I hope everyone is aware of."
Did you know cayenne pepper has been documented as capable of destroying cancer cells? Who has reported this? None other than the American Association of Cancer Research. This should be reported in the American media but endless celebrity stories about Brittany Spears' new hair cut or O.J.'s latest shenanigans are judged more important. With the stranglehold that Big Pharma and the government have on health information and services in this country, it's not a surprise. It is, therefore, left to the truth seeker to discover alternative options.
Capsaicin, the key ingredient in cayenne pepper, kills androgen-independent prostate cancer cells within the male body. Aside from its numerous and varied health benefits, cayenne pepper's anticancer properties should be enough to warrant a closer look but when one considers cayenne's heart health benefits not to mention its affects upon every organ in the body, it rightly qualifies as nothing short of miraculous.
In an article entitled, "Hot Pepper Kills Prostate Cancer Cells in Study" as published in Reuters on March 16, 2006, Dr. Soren Lehmann of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the University of California Los Angeles School of Medicine said the following, "Capsaicin had a profound anti-proliferative effect on human prostate cancer cells in culture." It caused 80 percent of the prostate cancer cells growing in mice to "commit suicide in a process known as apoptosis." Additionally, researchers said this in Cayenne Pepper "dramatically slowed the development of prostate tumors formed by those human cell lines grown in mouse models."
Researchers say that while there is not that much difference in prostate cancer cells from other cancerous cells so this study is quite interesting to say the least. So, how do you take cayenne pepper? You can take it in a capsule form, but its greatest benefits are taken by drinking it? "Drinking it"? Yes, taking it orally. By doing so, it has a literal immediate effect. You simply mix 1/4th of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder in an eight ounce glass of water (distilled or purified water is best), mix it up and drink it. Don't worry, it won't hurt you but is highly beneficial. In time, you'll want to move up to a full teaspoon or more, but start slow. The body will adapt. The first few times you take it, it will come out of your eliminative organs with some heat. Don't be alarmed. It's perfectly natural. By the third time I drank it, my body had acclimated.
Cayenne pepper has amazing curative and healing powers and is fantastic for the entire system. Its effects upon the venous structure and heart are nothing short of miraculous.
Famed homeopathic herbalist Dr. John Christopher testified repeatedly that by getting his patients to take cayenne pepper, it could immediately stop a heart attack. It is enormously nourishing to the heart but that is not its only health benefit. It is now a scientifically proven catalyst to destroying cancer cells as well as stopping their growth -- and that's something every cancer sufferer should know.
Conclusion
In 1971, then president Richard Nixon declared a war on cancer. Almost 40 years later, with the War on Cancer proceeding like the War in Iraq, you now have another scientifically proven tool to help eliminate cancer in your body. This humble yet miraculous herb will benefit you in many ways. Don't take my word for it. Check it out for yourself and you'll soon be convinced as to the incredible efficacy of this king of the herb world.
CIRCULATION ISSUES
Ted from Bangkok writes: "While ginger seems to restore energy in most cases, however I find capsicum powder (cayenne peppers) mixed with fresh ginger works the best as it helps with circulation. Especially works well if you are drowsy and raises oxygen level to those tiny capillaries which receives little or no blood flow. If you can find them, fresh ginger and fresh cayenne peppers (fine chopped) work the best due to higher bioflavanoid, vitamin P content, as well as vitamin C, etc.
When I need a good good circulation, I just eat the ginger, then the fresh cayenne peppers. The ratio is 50:50. Of course, I don't expect anyone will do that, so just try getting a mortar and pestle and mix the fresh cayenne peppers and ginger. Try 1/4-1/2 teaspoon for each. Then either mix them in lemon and honey. I can't be too specific about the recipes. It depends on how well you can tolerate the hot taste of peppers. Fresh peppers worked the best. If you find this too hard for the stomach, just take Vitamin B3, Niacin. That will get you on skin flushing and it works also, but differently. Cayenne peppers are more powerful and for the heart. While Niacin seems to be active on small capillary circulation on the skin. Niacin seems to reduce cholesterol and helps repair damage tissues (such as gum disease and heart circulation also)."

CURE INFECTIONS
12/13/2006: Vince from Philadelphia writes: "Cayenne pepper has cured all the infections I have tried it on, even sinus or intestinal ones. Some people seem to be more sensitive whether on their skin or internally. I saw a guy on a travel show and ate hot peppers in Mexico, and 2 hrs later he said he was still burning.
Only problem that hot pepper gives me is that I will hiccup if it is too hot, or I eat too much at once. It must send my esophagus into spasms, but they don't last long and eating bread will stop them or the burning in my mouth. I was really concerned when I wanted to try it up my nose for completely blocked sinuses, but I was desperate, so I diluted it a Lot more than I would gargle with, and had the phone handy to call 911, to call the fire dept, to have them put a hose up my nose.)) I thought hard about the risks, but never heard any warnings, even for putting in the eyes for eye problems. It will burn, and I have gotten some in my eyes, but the burn doesn't last. Inhaling the dry, powdered pepper will make you sneeze like Never before.
Anyone worried about using hot pepper should do a search. There is a lot of info and products for sale, even for the sinuses. I even cured a urinary tract infection in 2 days. There I boiled the cayenne and salt which I always add to the mix, and think it helps, and it Tastes better.) I boiled the mix to get whatever does the curing, capsaicin, oils, or what, into solution, since I didn't think the pepper particles would get to or go through my bladder.
Whenever there is a problem whether infection or pain, just try to figure how to get the cayenne to the site, or even like the bronchial tubes. It will draw heat to the site, increasing blood flow and blood and the lymph fluid in us carries white cells, that does healing. They sell Mustard plasters that do the same things, and they have been around for ages. Vince F"

DUODENAL HEMORRHAGES AND VIRUSES
03/03/2008: John Bayne (Johnbayne07@hotmail.com) from New Zealand writes: "Hello Deirdre. My name is John Bayne and I have been interested in cayenne pepper ever since 1991 when I was discharged from Auckland Hospital, after my third and final episode, in about March 1991, of duodenal hemorrhages, after 8 days and 4 transfusions later, and still losing about a pint of blood a day in passing Melina stools, without any reason given, but I knew that it had to do with my refusal to have an operation (no operation no transfusions). The very day I arrived home, on a Sunday, wondering what I would do, a friend gave me two capsules of the hottest cayenne pepper that I have ever seen to date (they advertised them as African Bird Pepper) and I never have seen a Melina since. About six weeks later the surgeon, who had kept me waiting about an hour and a half to soften me up, nearly choked when he saw that my blood pressure was normal, and of course had no desire to know how I had overcome me slow bleeding to death that their cimetidine had been unable to stop. Charcoal is definitely prolife as is shown by the fact that it can take the hottest tincture or powder without any apparent diminishing in its power to kill flu viruses. Usually take only 20 minutes with a cayenne 150,000 or over, to get rid of headache symptoms 100% of the time over 12 years with quite a few people as we have spread the word.
I have been getting my powdered charcoal from within NZ, but considering that I now use the Internet I am looking for other sources in case this one dries up.
So you sell powdered charcoal and in 1KG lots, and if so how much, and what is the range of sizes. Is the charcoal, only the right kinds of wood, no non vegetarian products such as bones. I would think that the right kind of wood, from a tree, is what I am looking for, for consumption of course.
My main use if to take the sting out of the cayenne, tincture or powder, when dealing with flu, especially, it works every time (for the last 12 years since I discovered the use of charcoal with it). Just as important I am finding it exceedingly difficult to find sources for genuine full strength African Bird’s eye pepper, in powder or tincture, as near to 300,000 British Thermal Units. Unlike Dr Richard Schultz, my preference in cayenne is for the Bird’s Eye pepper over the Habanera.
Can you get hold of this pepper in a bulk like quantity or in industrial strength tincture (with the water removed without heat), and in a larger amounts than usual but not at a price that would cause me to mortgage my house. If so could you give me data on the amounts, hopefully strengths in BTU’s if you can, and prices.
Much appreciated.
PS: For nearly 15 years I had a wonderful supply from a local herbalist who used to import this industrial strength dehydrated cayenne tincture, and I found that there is containers full of full strength Bird’s Eye pepper for sale in internationally, @about US$70.000 a container load about $4.00/kilo and on the other end much weaker cayenne at anything up to $100/kilo on the consumer’s level and I am looking to intercept this special cayenne, if I can before it goes exponential or gets watered down, and charged more for. We can save lives with this and certainly not with anything under 150,000 BTU’s so I would much appreciate it if you can be of any assistance."
02/23/2008: Amanda from Terre Haute, Indiana replies: "Thank you so very much for providing such a helpful website. I am a 20 year old girl, I feel like MRSA has taken my life and shattered it to pieces. I am against taking harsh, expensive drugs from the Doctor because of the side effects and price. I have been taking Turmeric tablets, and magnesium chloride tablets for a while now. I have one boil on a sensitive part of my body for months now, almost a year, and it's both painful and big. I have taken natural vinegar with honey and put it on the effected area. It seems to clear it up, but it shortly refesters and swells. I have no energy, I sleep a lot and am in a serious
Depression because of what this has done to me. Is there any way I could take a supplement to regain my strength? I would love to live again. Thank you again for such a great website and tips.""

03/04/2008: John (Johnbayne07@hotmail.com) from New Zealand replies: "It is like a well known saying declares "Truth is stranger than fiction."
I have seen people over the last 12 years react both ways, the skeptical go on suffering and the open minded get the same benefit as myself.
For those too far away to see me personally and try these things out, I would say this, "That at the end of the day personal judgment that is built up on the solid rock of knowledge plus experience, enables one to tell with much greater certainty than those who haven't bothered, which of the only three possible categories that I and what I am claiming fall under. A lie, some form of delusion or the truth.
It is easy to tell if you are truthful yourself and organized because of another self evident truth: "Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive."
So if I pass consistency tests in my explanations and even better if you happen to be very honest yourself (It is true that it takes one to know one, so that if one has the Spirit of Truth in them they certainly can recognize someone else that does) but for the benefit of those yet to aspire to that blessed moral estate, but who well could, given time, the consistency test is as effective, as it is readily available, to people that are consistently truthful themselves, after all it is a privilege to know the truth at any time.
So, essentially, for me, as an illustration of what I am saying: "When I read the Bible, I come to the conclusion that the people that wrote down each book come across as; too honest to be lying, too wise to be fooled, leaving only the option that they are telling the truth."
In conclusion this is my account of why cayenne pepper 150,000 - 300,000 BTU's kills the flu virus in significant numbers within 20 minutes, and with the use of activated powdered charcoal, is able to continue to do this, yet without hardly any hint of a burning sensation while yet maintaining the same power to kill the flu virus, as though one had taken the same amount of cayenne without the charcoal. It is one thing to know that powerful cayenne tincture or powder is sudden death to the flu virus that attacks so many tens of millions or more times a year around the globe, but just as vital is that mixing of it in a ratio of at least 1cay:4char making this remedy available to everyone other than the "super human's" that only could prefer the hot mix to the flu symptoms, besides, those kind of freaks of nature are unlikely to succumb to the flu anyway, so you can see how important the inclusion of charcoal is, if the remedy is to be of any use to the average person that has too much apprehension of the burn to take it in sufficient quality and quantity to kill the flu virus.
Fact one is merely a matter of observance: That if one is fortunate enough to be in a position to take at least one heap teaspoon of African Bird's Eye pepper (good quality and condition that is), and it has been mixed with at least four equally heaped teaspoons of activated powdered charcoal, and even better, had at least one to four spoonfuls of powdered barley green added (making sure that there is enough water in the mix to make a watery slurry rather than a paste, because this is to be drunk not eaten), that aesthetically removes the grittiness and helps lessen the need for as much charcoal, if it has been obviously a flu virus, the headache and fever symptoms drop off 100%, with loose stools possibly remaining, for 3-7 days but more in the case of the less serious flues. It seems, to my experience, that the more deadly flues have been the easiest to kill. Like the common cold the milder and more common varieties seem to cause diarrhea (although losing headache and fever just as quickly, as the more serious strains).
Fact two is: Anyone denying this assertion, while at the same time not supplying a better account, for why this observable fact one occurred, is telling us more about themselves (and the insufficient way that they view the world) rather than truthfully disproving the efficiency of cayenne and charcoal to painlessly and healthfully solve a very uncomfortable problem with horrible headaches, fever and loss of work time either in the work force, home care or the school attendance.
Just think of the number of hours lost to a nation's economy from all of the strains of the flu virus alone let alone other possible "bugs" that this remedy could also deal to. One I know for sure is pneumonia, which I think is bacillus. I think that it is unacceptable that there is many container loads of the best quality African Bird's Eye cayenne in the pods still exported from Africa at around $4/kilo, making $70,000 a container, to disappear into the confusion of middlemen, certainly never to be seen in health shops or such like where it can save lives more than as bottled hot chilli sauce or something useless like that.
Feel free to post anything that I say at any time. Like Martin Luther, I am prepared to stand for what I believe in and be honest enough to put it to any test, while assuming responsibility to either defeat all comers or admit if someone can really show me where I am wrong. You cannot lose with an honest attitude because where you are right you have offered an opportunity to your neighbour, where you are on an equal footing you experience the unparalleled joy of sharing with an equal, and where one is wrong one moves up higher than one could otherwise have moved (to a higher perspective) where the price is one of the highest (in terms of human ego in that one has to be prepared to accept being wrong enough to discard where one is wrong and substitute with what has shown up one's error). It is certainly true then that we learn from our mistakes and largely teach from the mistakes that we once made ourselves and still see others making. "

ENERGY, COLDS AND SINUS

EUPHORIA
11/06/2007: Sharon from Boston, MA writes: "I just discovered that ACV, baking soda, and cayenne produces an almost instantaneous state of euphoria! I have been taking acv for years, more recently acv and baking soda, but never with the cayenne. I always felt very energized from acv, but didn't feel like it was adjusting my brain chemistry. This remedy does. This is going to sound strange, but it makes me feel closer to God. I don't know how else to explain the sensation.
This is what I do:
2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar,
1/8th teaspoon of baking soda and
5 shakes of cayenne pepper
in a glass of hot water.
Be careful not to stand too close to the glass after adding the cayenne or you will inhale it, especially once those acv and baking soda bubbles get activated. Sip slowly, stirring the cayenne every so often. When the drink cools down, add more hot water. Drink on an empty stomach, if possible. I usually take it in the late afternoon, when I am feeling sleepy.
I hope others will try it to and let me know if they are experiencing the same results. It might also be a very effective PMS remedy, I don't know. Will send an update later on in the month!"

HEART ATTACK RECOVERY
1 YEA
[YEA] 04/08/2008: Doris from Santa Ana, CA USA writes: "Had 2 slight heart attacks age 28 and 32. Scary one at age 34. Always felt so frail, tho ok health but high stress work and poor diet-sooo much coffee. At 38 yrs was electrocuted by faulty computer eqpmt, lost left-side arm use 1 and half to 2 yrs. During that 1 and half, at about 1 yr, strain from the injury caused a 30-second stroke. I watch clock, fully mentally ok, but was physically immobile entire time, couldn't breath, no heartbeat, nothing. Then it just stopped. I was SO weak always from then on. 3 yrs later married, had child, was always terribly tired. Read in heart surgery book about cayenne being able to stop even a heart attack while in progress. I take a pinch (1/4 tsp) cayenne in 4oz water 2 times wkly. Feel better with 5 minutes - energy stamina breathing is easier, circulation feels ramped up to normal. Still tire, not not as without cayenne. Never regained full strength or mobility from electr. injury but dexterity in fingers did return. Strength is still 3lbs., Best, not nearly so drag-out tired. Cayenne is great - in tomato juice or water. Only a pinch is needed. In V8 or regular tomato juice, cayenne goes easy. I put cayenne on hard boiled eggs, hot flavor hides well in grape or orange juice too. Has improved my cholesterol too."

HOW TO STOP THE BURNING FROM CAYENNE: SALT
03/12/2008: Belina from Merida, Yucatan, Mexico writes: "I've read about people having problems with Cayenne, Habanero or other "hot" chilies or sauces and as a Chef who specializes in Mexican fare, plus I now live in Mexico too, I can give you a very easy and efficient remedy to ease the burning from peppers. Also, it doesn't matter if the burning is in your mouth, lips, face (from touching it with your hands after handling peppers) or hands, it works:
Put a little salt on the palm of your left hand, wet the tip of your right index finger in your mouth slightly and dip it in the salt and place it UNDER your tongue (sublingual) in the tender area on your jaw and not ON the underside of the tongue. Relief is very quick, easy to do, you can do it anywhere (like a restaurant) and works for everyone plus you can find salt everywhere."
I hope this answers some of your questions. Good luck.
