Re: Curious about Policy
You make some excellent points Zoe, but, we need to remember that having a "Dr" in front of one's name does not ensure either education or ability. Not every doctor is an MD, or a DC or ND. There are honorary degrees and more likely, a title bought over the Internet. I have been gone from here for a month and don't know enough details to form an opinion; but I am not impressed by the fact someone calls themselves a doctor.
Right now, I would hope this man will stick to his own forum and refrain from posting and stirring up trouble in other
Support Forums that do not follow his opinions. I have never read in his forum and doubt I ever will, I had to hide several of his posts in the
Liver Flush Forum and that was enough for me.
However, per to your original post, I do believe forum owners need to be honest and upfront with their education and credentials. Many of us who have researched natural healing and alternative health for years can offer as much useful information as someone who has a more formal, but more narrow education. The main thing I look for in forum owners are a sense of caring and compassion and a lack of ego. Temper tantrums, frequent bannings and a refusal to have intelligent discussions point to an ego driven personality more than the heart of a healer.
