Curious about Policy
Another Curezone member has emailed me
today upset about the Charles "liver
tonic" ingredient fray. Of course, my
best advice was that I felt it best not
to take a product which I had no idea
what the ingredients of it were. She
also sent me links to info on Charlie
which suggests strongly that he is most
likely a fraud, and certainly not a
doctor. According to the info she shared,
he graduated from Woodrow Wilson High
in 1970. He spent 4 years in the medical
corp in the Navy and then spent the
next 3 years in 3-year Associate Degree
in Specialized Technology in the field of
Carpentry & Cabinetmaking from Johnson's
Technical College in Scranton, PA (1978).
After that, he went to Minuteman Refinishing
School in Wisconsin. This skill included
antique mirror re-silvering and porcelain
tub refinishing. He served in an advisory
and consulting capacity to the Pennsylvania
Department of Environmental Protection for
their Emissions and Solid Waste Management
Departments.
He may be retired, but he retired to Arizona
where he has a flooring company, and sells
real estate and mobile homes, which his website
says he has been doing for the last 14 years.
NOW, Charlie seems to have pasted the title
of Dr. Charles Benghauser to his credentials
and has made wild claims of 38 years of clinical
research and practice. Other sites send members
to Curezone to consult with the "doctor" and
somehow, Curezone has given him the legitimacy
he feels he needs to sell his "tonic" as well
as cast aspersions on many other alternative
practices from oil-pulling to Master Cleansing.
On the other sites, as well as here, all
questions about his credentials or places
he practiced, lectured, did research, are
ignored.
So, the question I am curious about is, how
much is done to protect the Curezone community
from people who may be coming in with an agenda
which is less than honorable or perhaps even unsafe??
Are we to understand that the ONLY recourse is
the wording of the site disclaimers??
Certainly people have forums who are not doctors,
but to give a forum to someone based on their
claim of being a doctor without anything but
their word seems to be an issue which might be
important to know about.
Another question is if Charlie is guilty of
violating this Term of Service??

Any effort you can make to find out for us if
Charles A. Benghauser is impersonating a Doctor
would be appreciated.
Thank you,
