This was a patent from 1997 that was never finalised, (like 1000's of others using sodium chlorite, ClO2)due to fact that they did not work.
Understand the chemistry it is based on is removing the blood from a person to treat!
As far as burns go, there are now bandages made with ClO2 impregnated into them at very small amounts to combat infection.
Burns, scalds and large areas of skin depletion are high infection rate areas.
But beware I have the scar to prove ClO2 itself will burn the skin.
