That is an interesting way to look at it Tom. On that level, I would agree... I also talk to myself that way. Maybe I don't understand what you are saying - as relates to what Einstien and atheism is referring to.

But no - what the idea of "God" is to religious people is that guy in the sky who determines all that occurs on earth [and the universe]... a God who we can pray to and petition for help... a God that can be displeased at our sins... a God, you know, THE GOD.

You have found something real... the God that Einstein refers to is that phony idea of the religious people, Father of Jesus and all that. I think you are avoiding having that discussion!! [but I still respect your ideas and your "god"].
