Re: a call for chemistry - Silverfox?

Hello Jfh,

My 6 drop dose has had the free ClO2 completely used up with the addition of around 200 mg ascorbic acid. I added 50 mg at a time and waited around 2 hours for the ClO2 concentration to build again. After the forth time, the ClO2 did not return.

I believe the minimum daily requirement for vitamin C was raised from 60 mg to 90 mg. I think there needs to be a balance too. I just don't know how all of this plays out inside the body. The brain and spinal cord maintain high concentrations of vitamin C. If high concentrations of ClO2 neutralize vitamin C, what is the best method of insuring that we have a high concentration of vitamin C where it is needed, and still have enough ClO2 to kill off the pathogens?

Tom

Edit to add:

I added 400 IU of vitamin E and it had no effect on the concentration of ClO2. I also added 200 mcg of selenium and it also had no effect on the concentration of ClO2.

It looks like vitamin C is anti oxidant to neutralize ClO2.
