Re: oral short term prednizone -only thing that finally helped my severe exfoliative cheilitis
thx... love the information
Can we all agree this is an adrenal gland problem, with the balance of cortisol?

Prednizone supplements the adrenal glands with cortisol. You have seen an improvement and a previous poster had cortisol injections and saw improvement.
L-Lysine reduces cortisol in the blood. Its been said on here to stop the peeling.
Melatonin blocks cortisol. I've seen major improvement.
I'm trying to make a connection... because i have Adrenal Fatigue due to the chronic stress/lip inflammation(chronic cortisol) and now my adrenal glands need constant cortisol to function properly, so i crave carbs. With my lips though, cortisol is the last thing they need because that causes skin overgrowing.
I think i am getting a pretty strong understand of how this works.
I need these answer to questions from everyone.
Are you stressed?
Are you ever fatigued?
Are you constantly hungry?
Do you crave sugar?
Do you crave carbs?
Ever feel weak/light headed at certain terms?
Have you got dandruff?
Have you got any non healing wounds/colds/infections?
This is major progress and thanks for the post. I need those answers. Right now i am supplementing myself with pantothenic acid and vitamin B complex,PS, magnesium and zinc.. to restore/repair my adrenal glands from fatigue.
Assuming those answers a majority are yes.
Adrenal Fatigue due the chronic inflammtion of the lip may be spot on. Adrenals produce so much cortisol to handle the chronic inflammation of the lip, they become fatigued. Maybe resting(thus repairing) the Adrenal Glands internally(Prednizone and others) along with preventing cortisol from coming to the lip(Melatonin) externally is ... well you know.
Some people may be in different stages. Every body state of health isn't the same. I think this adds more evidence to finally resolve Exfoliative Cheilitis. Peace and thx.
