Joe..Oh my goodness...this is WONDERFUL!!!
Joe...sorry it's been several days...I forgot I posted here...and
just found your post asking what I thought of what you're doing.
I just couldn't believe it when I saw you were 80. Let me tell
you a quick story. (The rest of you that have already heard my
stories and are bored with them...just move on to another
post) :-)
Joe...this is just WONDERFUL! I'm 58...and have been interested
in natural healing almost all of my adult life. I began studying natural healing in the late 70's. And when our own kids
grew up and had homes of their own, I decided to work for one
year at a Health Clinic/Food Store..near us to study under the
naturopathic doctors there. I learned VOLUMNS.
One of the first things they started having me do, was to guess
the ages of some of their "regular" customers when they would
come in for supplies. They were all elderly...and I'd usually
guess that they were 60-65 years old. BUT, JOE...THEY WERE
ALL 85 and 90 years old...a few beyond THAT! One lady, I had
guessed was 65... turned out to be 86...was an aerobics
instructor for senior citizens...and proceeded to lay down in
the floor and do the "bicycle" and other exercises...she was
as limber as a 5 year old. AND sharp as a tack mentally. She
was a real delight to talk to.
I quickly started calling these people my "cartoon" people
because their cheeks were so rosey...and they were so alert...
so "fixie" (every hair was in place) they dressed very neatly.
They just seemed like little people you would see in a "cartoon"...just picture perfect and cute as buttons.
When I first told my husband about them...he asked if they
looked or acted "differently" than others their age. And I told
him how alert and perfect they seemed. It was really unreal.
They were not so much into vitamins. They were ALL juicing
carrots and eating a lot of raw foods. They ALL bought carrots
in 25lb bags.
I'm just so thrilled for you. But I have a question. Do you do much "work"...or walking...what do you do for exercise? I believe that is so important.
So you designed your diet according to the Eat Right For Your
Blood Type Book, is that right? I have that book. It's great!
Calorie restriction is very healthy...as long as you don't cut
the calories too low. And you're right...it IS quality that's
more important than quantity.
I have NO IDEA what you guys were talking about ... about the
animals and Purina, etc. But ANYWAY...I admire what you're
doing. It is NEVER to late to do what's best for YOU!
