Re: Toddler has ribbon-like stool

The essential oils on the liver sounds like a good idea. I need to find someplace that carries the oils and check them out. I just ordered a slew of Schulze stuff, including more formula #3 and Digestive. I've never tried the Digestive tonic yet, so we'll see how that goes, too. I quit giving him the Miralax. I started juicing pear and apples and when he drank that, it worked pretty well, but as with a lot of kids his age he decided he didn't want to drink it anymore after about a week. When he gets backed up too much, then I give him an enema.

What form does slippery elm come in? Tea, tincture, etc?

I looked up more online and it looks like his diagnosis would be Encopresis. Even when his BM is soft enough to come out, he stands and crosses his legs and grunts, almost trying to hold it in still. We haven't been pushing the potty training, just letting him do his business in his diaper if he wants. We've been trying to chill out over it and not show that we're concerned about the situation. We're starting a cleanse on Saturday so hopefully that'll have some good effects on him.
Thank you!
