Re: Toddler has ribbon-like stool
Thanks for the info. I never thought of the ginger and olive oil. He's back to not going regularly again and I've unfortunately still been giving him the miralax. It smells like antifreeze and I feel like I'm poisoning my child! We gave him an enema a couple weeks ago and he had a lot of BM come out, but then didn't go for a couple days afterwards again.I don't know if that's normal or not, I'm not sure how often you're supposed to give them. The vomiting that I referred to before was from drinking too much juice all at once and he burped some up and then that just made him throw up. We are going to do a liver cleanse in a couple weeks, so maybe that will help him, too. This is his first cleanse, since the last one I did was when he was 9 months old. I'm going to start
juicing again because when he eats/drinks ALOT of fruit/juice he goes better, It's just tough getting ALOT into a toddler. I've been thinking about trying him back on the Intestinal formula #3 also. I was getting afraid when eight or so teaspoons weren't having an effect on him. I wish I could get him to take the Intestinal formula #1 pills, because I think they'd have a much more powerful effect that he needs, but he's not old enough to swallow the capsules. (My one attempt resulted in him biting into it and getting the cayenne all through his mouth, which wasn't fun) If anyone has any suggestions on getting him to swallow one whole, I'd be interested. Sorry this is so long, this whole thing is really testing me! I appreciate everyone's input!
