Re: Toddler has ribbon-like stool

Thanks for the advice everyone. I was concerned about getting him xrayed because then I would have just opened up a can of worms if they wanted to do something that I disagreed with, So for now we've ruled that out. We had tried an enema early on, but not since. I might research that a little more and try doing one. Thanks for the info on how to do that, as I'm still a little afraid since it's new to me. I hadn't seen the negatives of miralax, I'll have to do another search. We're still reluctantly giving it to him on and off. But it just doesn't feel right to give it to him. He hasn't needed it for the past two days because he's had looser BMs. I also started him back on Children's Echinacea because he got a cold, so I don't know if that has anything to do with loosening his stools or not. I should have tried that earlier! I'll have to try the Lobelia too. I used it before with childbirth, actually, when I had him. I never thought of that. We'll have to see how this goes. I've also noticed that he's not chewing his food completely. He threw up the other day and there were big un-chewed pieces (sorry if that's too gross) I'm wondering if that's also tied into this whole thing. If anyone has more info/tips, I'm open. Thanks.
