Another personal experience...
I can agree with 92910 to a point...but I'm not certain that every child who is given an enema will have a life-long effect.
I can see where there could be a definite need for a small, mild, gentle enema, sometimes.
...Though I'd rather go to a better diet, and/or products from
http://www.humaworm.com first. (They are formulated for the age and weight of the person, including a separate formula for children over two years of age, and of a certain size/weight, I believe.)
My childhood experiences included large doses of a senna laxative...too large for children. I remember those vividly, and sometimes wonder if they caused future bowel difficulties...but that can't be true because I have had times of wonderful bowel functions, since...though much 'slowness' and sort of constipation...which makes me think 'foods' and perhaps
parasites are the main causes.
The few enemas were never 'sexual' in nature, just very 'personal' and somewhat 'invasive'. I avoid them as an adult, but have given myself one or two when I thought necessary.
I have come to the conclusion that cleansing parasites, especially their toxins, can slow the bowels considerably...and I believe children are very resilient.
Just one person's opinion.
Good luck!
