Re: HOW to realign?

When I feel myself thinking negative thoughts, I stop and remind myself that in the moment I'm miscreating.I also remind myself that when I'm feeling negatively, that it's actually a good thing because it indicates that my guidance system is working properly. That for me, is the beginning of the process of mentally "backing out" ( Jerry's words) of a negative thought pattern.

Usually for me, negative thoughts take the form of worrying, it's a pattern that I've had for a while, but I'm slowly starting to release it. When I realize I'm worrying, I think of this Abraham quote:

" Worrying is using your imagination to create things you don't want."

Remembering that quote has a rather soothing effect on me and from that point, it's easier for me to start guiding my thoughts to something less negative and then eventually, to more positive thoughts.

In other words, it's okay to think negative thoughts. When you find yourself doing this, congratulate yourself for having a guidance system that is working very well and then start choosing some better thoughts. You can do it and pretty soon you'll be releasing the 'oars' and floating downstream!
