Re: I will have to make a decision soon

Hi,

I haven't been around here too much, but I wanted to answer a few questions at least. I have a whole file on diaries, symptoms, what I eat, my meds, what I've tried, etc. A few weeks ago I mentioned that the main symptom I had was throwing up, especially when I ate the wrong food, but also when i ate the permitted food so that confused me as a remedy.

The main thing I want to tell you now, is that, my symptoms have changed completely. I have not thrown up for a month now. Instead, good food or bad food, I burp a lot, and get a little more heartburn than I had although it's bearable. Except after I took an ibuprofen to help take away an excruciating headache and I had one of those stomach aches that I thought would kill me. I was used to taking 800mg ibuprofen frequently after a back injury with no aches or pains - anywhere.

So this change from just throwing up to burning sensations and not really wanting to eat that much of anything has confused me. What happened? There must be one person in the universe that gas gone through this transition. But I am glad I'm not throwing up, but i don't trust these transitions.

Archus, it seems that getting up to have a drink of water is tame if not good for you. My Dr. just re-put me on acid blockers (Protonix) after I stopped, and now you tell me that this medication caused your hernia? I strongly believe that it's the patient that should listen to their body and not the doctor more often than not, yet, I know people who takes antiacids and do very well with them. I've yet to tell with me.

I like apple juice; I don't know about apple cider, but it seems like apples and juice feel as if they are doing me good. I have not tried bouncing! I do not take probiotics or enzymes. Suboxone is a whole other ball game. And, i was told to stay away from spicy foods and it would seem that red pepper doesn't call me. I often eat 3 apples or so for dinner and feel fine. I can't eat nuts at all, at least when I was throwing up. I ate a few and ran to the bathroom.

So I guess now, I have stomach acid that I can feel; that is apparent. It bothers me that all the acid blockers have the side effect of making the sphincteer weak. If I restart Protonix and I start throwing up again, it's a big clue that it does. I'd rather have more acid. It will be something I would have to discuss with my Dr.

Gallbladder issues? This is the first time I've heard that indnicated. Another question to ask my Dr. This is a puzzle to me. I know I don't eat a good diet, I never did, well maybe sometimes, but never junk food, no alcohol at this time at all, don't smoke, I know that best foods to eat. How can you go wrong with that?

Nice hearing from you,
Hiatal.
