"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel."
The kingdom of God is at hand ... it was then, and it is now. But it is not upon the earth yet, neither then nor now. The kingdom came into full existence in heaven after Christ's atonement, which enabled others who had died before that to return to God's presence - this constitutes his kingdom. When he returns and cleanses the earth, then his kingdom will also be upon the earth.
"Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom."
There were certain individuals who did not die, but rather they were taken up directly into heaven. This process is called "translation", and is what is meant by those who would "not taste of death" until he comes in his kingdom. In addition, there were certain other individuals who were allowed to remain alive upon the earth, to do good works and represent Christ, until his return in glory; John the Revelator is in this category, and he remains even today.
"But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God."
Does this mean that some who would not taste of death would see the kingdom of God in heaven, or see the kingdom brought upon the earth when Christ returned in glory? I think both ... Christ's kingdom in heaven came into fulfillment upon the completion of the Atonement, so those who were taken up into heaven without dying would fulfill this prophecy. Also, those same individuals, as well as any who had been allowed to tarry upon the earth until his return in glory, will also witness the creation of his kingdom upon the earth without tasting death.
Jesus is not a liar.
