"All bible prophecies were fulfilled by the time they were written. It is a well known technique that was used by both OT and NT writers. The book of Revelations all applied to Rome and was fulfilled at the 90 AD time it was written. "
This is not true. Although we should not have the spirit of fear, biblical prophecy is given to help prepare ourselves spiritually and temporally for that which is to come. And many of the events described in the prophecies of the old and new testaments have not yet occurred.
For example, Christ has not yet returned. I would say that is a major prophecy that did not have fulfillment in the Roman times. And, there is to be a re-establishment of the Roman empire just prior to his return, and a restoration of his church and gospel.
Many, if not most of the prophecies given in the new testament pertained to later times, not to inspire fear, but rather confidence.
