Truer words were never spoken. It reminds me of my best friend who keeps saying "I can't wait until you get better and can eat like a normal person again." I haven't had the heart to tell him the truth yet. :)
But I know the truth. For the past 5 years I've fought these problems I have with just enough change in behavior to keep me out of the woods. But this time around I need to make a much deeper commitment, and I've already made it.
So, to the original poster: No, it didn't stop working, you did. It'll be much easier to avoid the wrong foods after the holidays. If you keep up the good work, you will continue to feel better.
