Re: Eating in restaurants: Should I even think about it?
Remi96, thanks for your thoughts on dining out. You are right. I am worried about relapsing after several months of hard work to get better.
After being on this forum for a week and reading some other people's stories, I gather my problems are relatively mild. However, I sense that they have been brewing for many years. So while I'm not as bad off as some fellow sufferers, I really want to stay on the right track. Since going on an anti-candida diet, I have seen symptoms disappear that have hounded me for years. And I never knew what those symptoms were caused by! Now it's all making sense.
I took tons of
Antibiotics for bad
Acne when I was a teenager in the 1980s. Back then, no one warned me about the long-term effects of such treatment. About 10 years ago (meaning about 10 years after the
Acne treatment), things started to go wrong inside me. Amazing what can happen over time. These problems have been following me around for more than 20 years now, I suspect.
So I've decided to continue avoiding restaurants entirely. It really isn't that hard, given that I'm not terribly social anyway and don't travel much either. As for the holidays, I'll just do my best. I took Thanksgiving off this year and had a wonderful day staying at home and hiking in the snow.
Thanks again for your perspective.
