please, go to a yard sale and buy an old wagner or griswold or buy one on ebay. it should be very slick with the use and well seasoned. even one with a little rust can be reseasoned nicely. the yard sales are better so you can look at them and ask about prior use. a really good one will be so slick to the touch that it will feel almost like teflon to your fingers. an alternative is to buy the enamaled cast iron from mercola. he claims the quality is superb, but the old american and more recent enamals from france and belgium bought on ebay can be cheaper, especially if you are not concerned witht he god-awful colors of some of them.
