i was off base, attempting a spiritual lesson in the oil pulling forum.

it is one thing to be daring and pioneering. it is quite another to disregard our roots and the basice principals, be they of health or of human behavior.

america has become reckless in its passion for the new, the quick, the convenient, and we are paying the price dearly. the old ways were ways which worked. i never like to throw the baby out with the bathwater. older and experienced is seen as used up, obsolete and even backwards. that is a huge mistake.

plus, as i discussed above, i do not believe the man was being the least bit rude. he was trying to be helpful. i find it comforting that there are still places on earth where the teacher is valued above the student and where the teachers focus is the welfare of the student. in american education, the goal is on tenure, pension funds and political agendas. we will pay.
