then there is the other side of the coin - the petulant child, the rebellious soul for the sake of rebellion. if people knew how to get and stay well, what are they doing here asking questions? i guarantee, they already are not doing what they know they should and doing what they know they shouldnt. just ask them.

i have learned a technical trade before. it was all about procedure. the procedure ensured that nothing was missed. and you didnt learn all the things that could go wrong in doing the job. that would take years. you learned the procedure which took care of 99% of those possible outcomes from ever coming to fruition. if the student kept asking why and doing it their own way as soon as they were on their own, their training would be in vain and they would spend years learning what they already knew - the right way to do it.

the body is very forgiving and will adapt to almost any crap you subject it to. that doesnt make it right. try that with the brakes on your car, or the furnace in your house, or the power plant down the street from you. Tweet
