Re: Water 101 for Dummies~Here Is My Water Story~ OT
Thank you, I will forward this info to her. I had suggested the ACV and blackstrap molasses to her because I know that's supposed to have calcium. I was taking the molasses myself up until a few days ago when I decided to give the SCD diet a try on Newport's suggestion (feel better already). They allow honey, but not molasses unfortunately. She is seeing one of Dr. Brownstein's partners as her general doctor (lucky us - they're in our neighborhood), and I asked her to inquire with him about
Iodine supplementation. She's a little delicate and really has her hands full looking after my dad, I don't think she could handle detox, but if a low dose would make her feel better, that would be great. She does love canteloupe. Sea veggies have lots of calcium, but she won't eat them. I know she's having problems with arthritic knees, she has trouble getting up from sitting.... hard for me to watch, since in my head she's like 45 and I still can't believe she's officially elderly already...(of course that makes me middle-aged - aaagh! - LOL). I just am hoping to help her keep from getting frail and sick like her mother, who is still hanging on at 98 in a nursing home, I have no idea how or why. She's had "congestive heart failure" for like 30 or 40 years. I keep telling her she's got to take action now if she wants to avoid that, and thankfully she's not on a lot of meds and is finally doing some very moderate exercise, though her BP is all over the place sometimes and she does take some kind of drug for that.
