castor oil for sciatic pain?

I went to the castor oil forum only to find that it is inactive for 11 days and there are lots of unanswered questions there. But I did post my question anyway.

I am thinking of using the castor oil on both my feet which are extremely painful form plantar faciitis to where it is difficult to be on them for very long and for the sciatic I have been laid up with for the last 7 weeks. It is keeping me from working because I can't sit at my computer and I am a designer who does all my work while sitting. When I read on the forum an old post that some people had gotten some relief for foot pain I felt hopeful - today has been a bad day for me because I started to slip into depression over these problems and am getting so tired of being inactive. I am doing the pre-cleanse and have cleaned up my diet and now I am hoping that castor oil might be of some help because although the sciatic pain is not as terrible as it was in the beginning it is still keeping me down and it's really getting old - you know what I mean?

So.... has anyone ever heard anything about using it for such a thing as sciatic pain?

Thanks friends.
