I am against all high-protein, low-carb diets. They make you shed water, not fat.
some of her recommendations for cleansing the liver are the same as mine, but not as thorough.

You'll yo-yo with this diet -
pounds shed only to come right back on, because it's water and muscle loss more so than fat loss. And if you DO lose a lot of fat right away, you'll create a bunch of acetone (you know, nail polish) as the body switches over from burning glucose for energy to fats. ketones raise. A high level of ketones in the urine is a precursor to diabetic coma. It's what a strict high-protein, low-carb diet will do to you. It'll make you high like you're sniffing glue, so people like them.
Any diet that tells you not to eat veggies (outside of white potatos, tomatos or corn) is insane.
If you focus on the liver and manage your portion sizes the
pounds will drop naturally without any special effort. I was eating almond croissants when I dropped a clothes size thanks to 2 liver flushes.
