Welcome to my ongoing 40-days water fasting story
Hello everyone,
I'm glad to join this forum and I'd like to introduce myself a little. I'm a nearly 30 years old guy, living in central Europe.
I decided to try water fasting. My first attempt was a few months ago, but I only managed to reach 40 hours, which is not very exciting :)
In my second attempt, I wanted to do a lot better and I think I can call it a success. Today is my day 32 and I'm planning to break the fast after 40 days.
I'm 187
cm (6 feet, 2 inch) tall. My weight before I started this 40-days fast was 87 kg (192 lb). Today my weight is 70 kg (154 lb), so I lost quite a lot already. I still have some belly fat though.
I have two main goals when it comes to water fasting:
1) To feel better. I feel not too great most of the time of my life. I have visited many doctors and nobody was able to help me with that so far. I am very easily bloated, even after drinking water. My breath is very shallow and irregular, my tongue is always very white. Even if I brush it with special toothpaste (tonguepaste? :D) and tongue scraper, it's still white. My breath is okay then, but the tongue is still just full of white coating. I feel like my stomach area is a stone, it's hard and feels uncomfortable. It's most likely due to my neurosis, which I tried to fight on many ways, but I still have this problem.
2) To make my relationship with food more healthy. I love food, no doubt about that. I love many kinds of food, including superfoods and junk food. But I'm very impulsive and emotional eater. I have no patience to prepare my foods most of the time, I just can't stand the tension and desire to stuff myself. Food is one of my hobbies and I love trying new things, I'm passionate about world cuisines. I think I should keep my passion alive, but just control portions and impulses better. So far no luck with that.
Water Fasting made me love food even more, but maybe that will go away a little once I start eating again.
For now I have one question to you guys. Do you think white tongue, fatigue and weakness can be caused by bad breathing technique? I think some bacteria and gas should be nicely exhaled with air? By now, I don't think my tongue and comfort will improve by water fasting. It's day 32 and there is no change at all at these aspects. I'm thinking of trying Pranayama.
And once again, hello to all! :)
