I just found on Amazon reviews that it is a diet protocol and you have to get regular injections from your Doctor who probably won't prescribe it.

MoreThis is a reply to # 911,341I didn't read the book. I skimmed through it at a book store and I was at his seminar in Chicago. His seminar was very good. I think he mentioned you can buy the oral version of HCG from a doctor. I think the price is around $50.00. HCG by itself does not make someone lose weight. Kevin said there is an FDA tag with every bottle stating this fact. You have to use it with the protocol. Kevin himself did not want to follow the Simmeon's protocol years ago. Over the years we have seen his weight fluctuate. The impression I got at his seminar is that he will never put on excess weight again as long as his hypothalamus gland doesn't become reprogrammed. The question I have is do you really have to use HCG? HCG is apparently very effective with the protocol. You lose about one pound for every day you follow the protocol and no exercise is required. You can reprogram your hypothalamus gland with diet and exercise but I guess it wouldn't make you lose the weight nearly as fast.

I took HCG for hypogonadalism. Injections in the stomach. I put on weight due to the fact that HCG is derived from the urine of a pregnant woman and it contains a nice dose of estrogen. It can make testosterone and estrogen go up.
And I experienced morning sickness.. not good for a 6'1 215 lb male.
Look I emailed the HCG obesity clinic in Argentinia and asked the guy about the efficacy of oral HCG for hypogonadal men. His response.."I don't know"
Shouldn't he know??? I mean come on' ,if you are going to present a product to the masses, shouldn't you be "up" on the main function of this product?
Look it is garbage..bunk. They recommend a low carb diet as well, which works very well all by itself.
Yes their have been a couple of compelling studies,but they fail to state that the placebo group lost the same amount of weight as those who took the HCG.

This is a reply to # 911,828Kevin Trudeau spoke about the movie "Supersize Me" during the seminar. I never saw the movie. At the end of the movie there was something that stated that he gained 28 pounds and he was unable to lose that weight through a program with a personal trainer. I guess a low carb diet and exercise doesn't work for some people. Don't you wonder why?
Criticizing someone and ignoring the rest of what someone has to say doesn't necessarily make you learn anything new.

This is a reply to # 912,104First of all Trudeau's weight is not the same. I saw him myself. It looks like #66379 didn't follow the protocol. As far as if it works, I won't just take the advice of people here on the net. Kevin made a lot of sense to me at the seminar. Time will tell.

I took HCG because I lost a testicle due to cancer. I was taking it to enhance my bodies ability to produce testosterone.
I was taking it for the reason it was developed. I was taking shots in the stomach(the way it is supposed to be taken). This protocol was prescribed by one of the foremost Endocronologist in the world (out of UCLA) for me.
It did not help and I put on weight due to the estrogenic component of the drug.
Why is that so hard to figure out?
Beleive me, I know more about nutrition and diet than Mr. Trudeau ever will..so my diet was spot on. I wouldn't listen to any protocol that clown offered.
I've dealt with ITV on a business basis..they are there to sell..nothing more. They could care less if their products are effecacious or not. All they are worried about is you calling in to buy their lame ass products,,nothing more.
In fact when they are "resarching" new products, they don't look at the product..they look at someone from the company who can sell it.
Exact quote from one of their "talent and product managers"
"We are looking for stars"
And guess what,,they found one in Trudeau. Do you really believe Donald Barret is in this to spread the word of good health?..it is all a business for him, nothing more.
And you know what? That is great, he makes millions.
But the perception they have is that they care about making Amercia healthy and they are looking out for us against the dreaded medical community..trust us and open your wallet.

This is a reply to # 912,414Fair enough #66379. Kevin and Barret might be hucksters but that doesn't concern me personally. I should be more concerned about the quality of their information and not be concerned so much about their morality.
One of the many things Kevin said was to walk at least one hour a day at a place like a park if you wish to reprogram your hypothalamus gland. It tells your body to lose weight so it can optimally function during the walking. This also changes your brain chemistry and helps people with depression. When you are walking keep your eyes looking at the horizon or objects that are far away. I guess this sends messages to your brain.
Would you care to give me any advice? Since you seem to know a lot about nutrition and diet, where do you think we can get the best nutrition? Do you have any favorite foods, seasonings or herbs? I would say buy your whole foods from local farmers or grow it in your backyard.- Re: Fair enough page

This is a reply to # 912,496I hear you. This sounds more like a Kevin T. bashing. But HCG is working for many people to lose weight that have not been able to lose weight before. Yes you could lose weight on just the diet, but your body would go into starvation mode and start storing fat. I did lose a lot of weight this way at one time in my life, and I feel that is why it has become so hard for me to maintain weight on any program. I continue to gain all the weight back no matter how healthy I eat.
The original creator of this HCG diet is Dr. Simeons from Rome Italy and he spent many years prefecting what foods to use and the dosage of HCG. He kept the protocol quiet as the people who he treated required to stay anoyomus. (Sp?)
Kevin T. has written the WLCure book and has brought exposure to the original Dr. Simeons protocol and many are having success. HCG helps to eliminate the fat stored in many areas of the body that are very difficult to lose from.
There are so many diet pills and gimicks out there to help us to lose our money and our hope, but HCG program - written by Dr. S is working for many of us that had lost hope.- Re: Fair enough #67751

Just like Atkins diet many found it easy to shed the pounds but paid the price for it in the long run with many complication, mine was gallstones. I lost 40# in about two months thought it was great but soon started having gallbladder attacks! I am still suffering from a gallstone lodged in my bile duct to large to pass and havent yet been able to dissolve it to make it small enough to pass!- Re: Fair enough #63877

First, if you ever saw Kevin back in the 90's, he was REALLY OVERWEIGHT! Now look at the guy, dramatic weightloss. Also, he really was in Europe and really did do the HCG treatments. Just so you know that he practised what he preached.

It is true, losing a pound a day you would think, would be bad. However, the thing that Kevin say about the protocol that makes it so great, is that it gets rid of the STORED FAT, not the good fat. Most diets have you lose muscle fat and water fat, not the problem area fats. The protocol is meant to get rid of only the problem area fat so that you do not have medical problems due to the large weight loss.

I think there is a lot of misconception and bad advice going on here , to much here say and no with real experience in any of these drugs Kevin claims to be a miracle cure!
Beware that the supplement industry has the same motivation as any other industry and that is profit! Caveat Emptor to all the above!

This is a reply to # 918,678Oh come on guys..Why is it now that Kevin is losing weight?? Because he is pushing a weight loss book. He dieted and excercised and probrably took some HCG,but he is not going to be on TV promoting a weight loss book looking like a lard ass.
He has been "involved" in the health and wellness industry for years..You gonna tell me it was the HCG that helped with his battle on being overweight..
The urine from a pregnant woman helped him shed lbs..in a pill form that is not readily absorbed in the gut.
No.. he probrably got a trainer and really buckled down on his diet.
I would love to see him without his shirt on,,,
and losing a lb a day is not bad...what a myth.
Anybody see the Biggest Loser? Some of those people are losing 30 lbs a week out of the gate..yes I know they are very obese, but we know that at that weight their overall health is quite poor..I haven't seen any of them die.
Please do not talk of it just being water weight..if it was all water weight they would die..
Low carb diets do promote faster weight loss,,without question. It doesn't have to be a diet of just meat and eggs( thought I do that for quick weight loss), but if one were to just cut back on all the sticky, starchy carbs, we'd all be alot healthier and leaner.- Re: Fair enough #63877

This is a reply to # 919,149Evidently you guys think this is a QUICK PILL TREATMENT. It's not. The protocol spans about over 3 months! It's not quick at all! But from the results people are talking about on the message boards, it works.
The protocol was made by Dr. Simmeons in Europe and royalty and movie stars have under gone the treatment. Their was one European priness that was so fat she was made fun of in the papers, she did the treatment and came back thin, her country wa shocked and didn't know how she did it. What she had used was the Protocol.

This is a reply to # 919,593$600???? Wow, where did you get that number?! One person doing the treatment decided to do it at home and got all the supplies she needed for all about $100.
Dr. Simmeon's actually does have clinics all throughout Europe and started it in the late 40's. He wrote a manuscript for the protocol that only had a few copy's in print and were sent to the clinics.
The fact is, people say it works. I can't attest to it, I'm not fat. But the members on Natural Cures are real, and the one's that are doing this say their loving it.
