I get a little burst of energy and quickly spend it and end up energy depleted. The body has a cruel way of paying you back for years of overdoing it.

Thank you. That's kind of you to be concerned. I was thinking the same things. Today I was feeling so revved up - I took a nap! I didn't want to do anything to cause a "crash", especially since I had eaten a few no nos while out with my family to eat on Mother's Day. (It is so hard to be a food purist for social occasions, isn't it?) Yes, I will go to Ask Dr. Lam & see what he thinks about the new found energy sometime this week probably. He did say that not everyone who suddenly feels very good is about to crash though, so hopefully I'm in the exceptions category. I have been feeling this good for over 4 days.

I have a very limited, rather strange diet - by American standards anyway.

In the morning first thing I have a glass of milk with a raw egg & cinammon for protein. I add some primrose oil for fat and eat a purne for carbohydrates.

Then I have dog food. Yep. Not kidding. Well, I went searching on the net for organic freeze dried liver as liver is great for those who have any liver problems & I did have to expell 2000 Gallstones over several months. The only place they sold organic freeze dried liver was where they have dog treats. I found something called Bellyrubs. Ok it's got a dog on the bag. Do I care? lol.

From my research real butter is great for thyroid & adrenals so I have the liver with 2 tbsp butter & Seasalt . Heck, just about anything tastes good with butter & salt. Those dog treats aren't bad at all, tho, I don't think. Kinda melt in your mouth - & I don't like liver, never did.

Then I eat an organic apple, maybe 1/2 orange, tons of supplements including Norweigian cod liver oil & liquiKelp - including those Dr. Lam recommends - some acidophilus yogurt, then meat, beans, veggies, some string cheese & raspberrires & blueberries. I might add some olive oil to the bean & sardine dish I make in a crock pot.

I take enzymes, too, with every meal, even a snack.

It seems to me that one glass of coconut water every day is also a boost to my energy. You can find it on Vitacost (where I buy most everything personally) if you are curious & want to try it.

I have already done big time parasite & gall bladder cleanses, which were very, what they call "productive." They did not do that much for increasing my actual productivity level, though (it was like classic CFS) due to the adrenal issues being unresolved.

I have no good things to say about soy. It can definitely mess with your hormones. When I was going thru meonpause I took soy. It brought back my periods! I worry about guys using that stuff & there is a ton of literature out there suggesting it ain't the healthy food people think it is. It is a menace to the thyroid too.

I also do 2 oil pulls a day but really after all these things, what helped me turn around was, again, spacing out the meds more & taking liponano C.

Everything but the (low fat) string cheese is organic. For some reason I crave that, maybe because of the thyroid meds which cause an increased need for calcium - & I can't find organic string cheese.

I take 20mg of hydrocortisone per day. The bottle says take 1 10mg pill 2x a day, so I did that. Don't trust bottles. The stopthethyroidmadness site said the adrenals need to be fed at least every 8 hours, so now I take four 5mg doses per day, 1 on arising, 1 before bed, & 2 during the day.

I had to diagnose myself about the adrenals, with I did from the sttm site. The first doctor I saw would only give me a blood test, which said I was fine. He said urine tests, which the sttm site recommended, were "worthless." I did find a doctor who is better than that - though I have to make a 5 hour round trip to see him. He let me do the urine testing & put me on the medicine. Even he was recently thinking of "trying someting else" re the adrenals, i.e. some supplements. Dr. Lam says this is one time you need the prescription & having tried just about everything else I for one surely believe him.

You truly have to be your own advocate & research even, if necessary, get your meds apart from them if they won't take you seriously, thru online foreign countries. (That's if you get really desperare only. Pretty pricey.)

Someone asked me for an update, so here it is. I did actually get down and fatgued again after eating out on Mother's Day. Restaurant food is my nemesis, tho like y'all I love it.

But now I am back to organic, no sugar, no wheat, no soy, no corn & have perked up again. I used to need about 3 hours extra a day of sleep not uncommonly. Now I just sleep maybe 8-8 1/2 hrs.

What I am learning...

Use full spectrum lighting and close up! Not the WalMart etc. kind which I don't trust, but from real full spectrum light websites. There are studies out there showing that artificial light stresses out the adrenals and that full spectrum lights help them to heal.

I feel a sense of calmness when I just bathe my body in full spectrum light as I am at the computer or in the kitchen, wherever. The lights are expensive initially but they use less energy & seem to last forever. Can't wait to get my portable Ott light in the mail.

Also, I am learning to keep a steady pace all day. All exercise is stopped before I reach a point of feeling tired. Gentle and easy does it is the way.

If I catch myself rushing around I stop in my tracks and use the breathing techniques Dr. Lam mentions, to help me stay on a smooth course, often grab some aroma therapy to help me calm down too.

So far I really feel very different, very much better. No Q. Quite near normal, except I can't rush around, as mentioned.

In addition to the things mentioned above, I truly feel the liponano C & taking the hydrocortisone 4X a day instead of 2X were indispensable helps.

(I do also take the supplements, pretty much, that Dr. Lam recommends & tons of others. I am a firm, convinced, believer in prayer too, but that's up to you of course.)
