When bowel movements are bright green that is the sign of dysbiosis = not enough good bacteria inside bowel.
Bacteria inside bowel are resposible for converting green bile pigment (bilirubin and biliverdin) into colorless Urobilinogen that is oxidized to brown stercobilin/urobilin which gives the feces their characteristic yelow-brown color.
Bilirubin is the main bile pigment that is formed from the breakdown of heme in red blood cells. The broken down heme travels to the liver, where it is secreted into the bile by the liver. Normally, a small amount of bilirubin circulates in the blood at any given time.

"An important phase of the metabolism of bilirubin occurs in the small intestine. Bacteria present in the distal small bowel convert conjugated bilirubin to a series of compounds that are collectively termed as urobilinogen (colorless). The intermediary products are mesobilirubinogen and stercobilinogen. These colorless compounds are further reduced in to urobilin, which is also known as stercobilin (brown).
Urobilin/stercobilin gives the stool the charactersistic brown color. A small percentage of urobilinogen is reabsorbed in the terminal ileum and colon and excreted by the kidney. Its absence in urine may indicate complete biliary obstruction, while its presence in elevated amounts may result from increased production of bilirubin. Acholic stool (white or grey feces color) occurs when bilirubin substrate is unavailable for conversion to urobilinogen and stercobilin."
Bacteria in the intestines modify bilirubin, causing the brown color of feces. The yellow colour of urine is a result of products derived from bilirubin.
So, green feces = no bacteria
What you need is next:
- enema infusion with feces from healthy baby (read about fecal flora replacement) or
- enema infusion with home made yogurt and/or
- oral consumption of home made yogurt and/or
- oral consumption of other foods rich in bacteria and/or
The most potent remedy against dysbiosis is fecal flora replacement with feces from healthy person (safest is to choose feces from a healthy baby)
