Mucoid plaque does not only appear as 'ropes'...it can also release in chunks, globs, sheets...it can range from sticky like bubble gum to hard like tire rubber...shoe leather too!...and can be various colors...black, brown, green, gray.
parasites love this stuff and can be found in and under it.
Psyllium alone will not result in passing a significant quantity of mucoid plaque...pieces may dislodge...but certainly not like they do during a colon cleanse. Psyllium is simply fiber...it won't turn into silly putty-ish or hard gunk or change colors or stink to high heaven...on its own!
I am not aware of anyone having their mucoid plaque tested...and don't know that it could be. They would probably just define it as 'fecal material'... it probably wouldn't have a characteristic chemical composition like
Gallstones do. If you want an in-depth description of mucoid plaque, Rich Anderson does a good job of explaining it in Cleanse & Purify Thyself vol. 1&2.
I applaud your questions about this and your desire to get at the truth...I am of the very same make-up and have my own questions about the various cleanses. But I also believe that...more important than what this-or-that stuff is...most important is how you feel and function once you've completed the cleanse!
